This individual will be responsible for the support for an enterprise Unix/Linux platform in a large-scale highly available 24x7 corporate-wide IT environment.
Recommend, implement and deliver technology solutions based on analysis and business requirements.
Develop process and methodology for test, deployment and maintenance to ensure scalability, consistency and maintainability to decrease delivery time and increase availability.
Manage outsource providers for daily operations.
Completely manage the lifecycle of the operating system.
Develop logging, metrics and reporting programs to facilitate performance, security monitoring and predictive analysis.
Monitor logs, remediate problems, perform computer and network forensics.
Create, maintain and document for Unix/Linux configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
Ensure the development and use of effective preventive maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objectives.
Provide training, guidance and support to the application specialists on Linux techniques and configuration options.
Bachelor’s degree in CS., Unix/Linux or equivalent certifications.
1-2 years of system engineering experience in a GxP environment
Strong knowledge of capacity planning, on unix/linux for enterprise application management best practices.
Expertise in designing and implementing highly available Unix/Linux solutions.
Excellent planning, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to meet designated deadlines and professional business practices and demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives.
