PC Upgrades – replacing defective or retired machines
Re-imaging of laptops and desktops
User password resets, account unlocks
Placing service calls for broken IT equipment
Software installs, or requesting software for users from appropriate source
Granting temp admin rights
Setting up and troubleshooting MFDs (Multi-Functional Devices)
Troubleshooting network printers and replacing supplies
Map network drives and printers
Setting up workstations for new hires and user moves
Monitoring servers and logs daily for backups, etc.
Completing DESEI Employee new hire/loss/move forms
Providing list of all asset tags, location and user for all deployments or moves
Providing updates for Active Directory to ^PC Services
Providing updates for GAL (Global Address List) to Postmaster
Required Experience of the Jr. Systems/Network Administrator:
Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software and equipment problems
Knowledge of imaging and encryption
Knowledge of troubleshooting and attention to detail
1 year of experience in the following areas:
Configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various systems/network technologies
Administration of the network infrastructure to include desktop PCs; servers; network equipment; and software applications
Internship related to design and installation of networks, network monitoring, or network configuration
Ability to plan and perform fault management, configuration control, and performance monitoring.
Ability to conduct activation, back-up, deactivation, and restart of network resources/services.
Ability to evaluate communications hardware and software, troubleshoot LAN/MAN/WAN and other network- related problems.
Ability to coordinate with users, technical teams, and senior management throughout network site(s).
Possesses strong oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables.
