MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Our client is pursuing several process improvement initiatives in Product Lifecycle Management and Master Data Management based on Oracle Agile PLM and Oracle e-Business suite R12 systems. As part of this effort we are looking for a technical writer to document business process flows and to develop or update SOPs and work instructions.

Principal accountabilities and responsibilities:
• Document business processes in standardized format (including BPMN flow diagrams)
• Update existing standard operating procedures and work instructions, to align with new processes and system functionality
• Develop new standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Create and manage workflows, including review and approval processes in the document management system
• Collaborate closely with process owners and IT to gather input for documentation
• Collaborate closely with instructional designer and support development of training materials

This is a global project that requires frequent collaboration with stakeholders in Europe and in the United States. Occasional teleconferences outside of regular business hours may be necessary.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required skills:
• Min. 3 years experience writing SOPs and work instructions in a regulated environment (ideally Pharma / Life Sciences)
• Ability to gather unstructured information from stakeholders and existing documents, and use this as basis to develop simple and clear instructions for complex processes
• Min. 3 years experience documenting business processes in BPMN notation
• Fluent oral and written English
• Good communication skills
• Strong writing and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive, self-starter attitude
• Sense of urgency
• Strong MS Office skills (in particular Word)
• Experience working with enterprise document management systems (e.g. Documentum, Qumas)

Additional desired skills:
• Experience using process mapping software (e.g. BusinessOptix, ARIS)
• Knowledge of Oracle Agile PLM and/or Oracle e-Business Suite R12
