Our CRM team is seeking a Technical BA for a six month contract. The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and writing requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of Epics and Stories in support of one or more Scrum teams responsible for business process automation and relationship management software.
Preferred Experience and Abilities:
Why Open: The company has grown tremendously, going from one team to 5 scrum teams in 3 month period. There is a GAP for technical BA skillset. They have a complex system and the BA will have to define service, review contracts on services and experience with cloud. There is backlog on a number of initiatives around system integration and this person will need XML, web services, Rest and Soap.
Additional Notes: Their CRM platform hosts business process automation, any relationship management, they are looking to get rid of boot strap tools that were being used like Access and Google docs – getting them stored in CRM. Client Services uses the CRM for all orders, if Lab needs additional information requests for more info are processed through CRM to Dr’s offices. The CRM is a hub for PHI Tests. They need a strong BA to work with broad set of stakeholders (internal customers), drive requirements gathering, informative to team, meet with business, understand where gaps are and any minefields. Work closely with development team. Service definition, review data contract on services, cloud, create user stories and requirements. They have been leaning on Architects and developers too much so they need someone to take on this work. There is a backlog on a number of initiatives around system integration work so they will likely not work with more than 2 scrum teams at a time and those teams with heavier emphasis on integration. Their Product Owner and BA groups deliver major projects, define requirements, processes involved for broad set of features/functionalities, work with Scrum teams, evolving approach, groom backlogs to support delivery of work. Because their team is siloed with people doing configurations to MS Dynamics and others creating custom code so they need to be adept at working across teams.
Experienced BA, from technical perspective understand integration,
APIs - how they are updated or created and properly integrated and maintained, be able to talk the talk.
Must be familiar with XML and XSDs.
They need to have experience with Web Services (Rest based).
XML and web services are a must.
They must have large enterprise experience and ideally working on global projects, this team is spread out, some remote, some in Kiev, Ukraine – they will really struggle without this experience.
Strong documentation experience including if not UML Diagram experience, something similar to it. Ability to produce high quality artifacts. Converge business concepts, values and goals.
Able to speak with non technical audience.
Agile Scrum experience is required, they don’t produce traditional documents, they need to be able to write user stories.
Plus – MS Dynamics is their CRM but they don’t need experience with it, that would be a bonus- the emphasis is on integrations with Rest based web Services.
Soft – Strong communication
