Senior Desktop Engineering Administrator

The Senior Desktop Engineering Administrator will play a critical role in helping to define architecture & best practices for the enterprise. Responsibilities will include leading projects to develop and implement reliable, secure Windows and Macintosh client desktop images, application packaging, software distribution, and ensuring that initiatives support the corporate vision. The successful candidate must have experience supporting large enterprise environments, and a demonstrated competency in driving design & strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Accountable for performance & security of all enterprise client applications running on standard OS images, for both Windows and Mac end-user systems
Build and maintain gold image and PC imaging process to be consumed by end-user support group for PC & Mac client builds
Test, document, and measure performance of standard corporate client applications on gold images
Manage changes to gold client images and perform necessary quality control testing
Package and prepare for automated distribution both shrink-wrapped software and proprietary applications. Additionally, create and manage a software distribution GUI for 1st and 2nd Level Support teams.
Analyze business requirements and ensure that solutions meet established technical and company policies and controls.
Partner with business owners & application teams to define and enhance technology solutions to meet business, performance, and security requirements
Review on an ongoing basis existing systems to recommend process and system improvements, as well as policy changes related to IT system architecture
Demonstrate knowledge and experience with LanDesk, SCCM, and/or Flexera AdminStudio
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable industry standards, hardware and software controls, and emerging security issues
Serves as a key resource to work with various technical teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex and/or critical issues (On-Call rotation as required)
Desired Skills and Experience:
5+ years supporting large scale enterprise environments
5+ years experience using LanDesk, SCCM, and/or Flexera AdminStudio
Experience building & deploying standard OS images for Windows & Mac platforms
Experience packaging and distributing software packages
Experience measuring client software performance
Experience managing updates through change management & a QA process
Ability to identify and recommend changes to improve efficiency and lower costs
Ability to work independently and with a team to support corporate systems and projects
Ability to influence
Ability to deliver management updates on highly technical subjects
