External Job Title – Senior WebEx Support Specialist

This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure and Productivity Solutions in Infrastructure. The Sr. Collaboration Specialist will play a critical role in helping to define the shared enterprise productivity tools for the HMH organization and will be responsible for playing a key role in projects to develop and implement reliable, secure collaboration platforms and ensure that initiatives support the corporate vision. As a Sr. Collaboration Specialist, the successful candidate must have experience supporting large enterprise environments, and a demonstrated competency in driving design & strategy. The candidate will also be responsible for execution of project activities and incident support, and must be able to identify risks in meeting team goals and address appropriately. This position is located in Boston, Massachusetts.


Duties & Responsibilities include:

Day to day collaboration activities and execution of overall team vision, including support of the conferencing environment at HMH, including the physical conference room equipment, video equipment, collaboration & meeting software, and end user experience.

Understanding the of the collaboration marketplace and be able to create a shared vision for HMH that accounts for function specific tools along with enterprise standard tools

Accountable for performance & security of all enterprise collaboration environments

Analyze business requirements and ensure that solutions meet established technical and company policies and controls

Partner with business owners & application teams to define and enhance technology

Serves as a key resource to work with various technical teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex and/or critical issues (On-Call rotation as required)


Desired Skills and Experience:


5+ years supporting large scale enterprise environments required, including support of critical all-company web conferences

Experience configuring and managing enterprise productivity & collaboration platforms including WebEx Meetings & Teams(Spark), Box, Office365

Experience with conference room technology and video equipment

Ability to define SLA’s & KPI’s for team performance and measure with end users

Experience managing updates through change management process

Demonstrate knowledge of applicable industry standards, hardware and software controls, and emerging security issues

Ability to identify and recommend changes to improve efficiency and lower costs

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment to support corporate systems and projects

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Problem solving, leadership skills, relationship building, ability to influence

Ability to deliver updates on highly technical subjects to management team

Management experience and assignment of technical work to others optional

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of certification & experience
