Project Manager - Junior

Seeking an experienced, temporary Project Manager to help support the overall administration of the department, in collaboration with the Interim Director.

 The Project Manager will be a part of the core administrative team, working directly with 4 team members, and working in close collaboration with on human resources, operations, outreach activities and communications to help ensure the efficient management of research portfolios and offices. This includes supporting day-to-day operations, helping to plan special events, and faculty and staff development and support. Responsibilities will include: - Helping manage department space across four locations including office equipment and general operations

- Help manage department human resources including recruitment, onboarding, - Help manage time and labor, payroll functions and organizational development - Help manage 3rd party and international hires working in close collaboration with Human Resources - Support the development of meetings and some events including core staff, program staff and all staff meetings include helping to prepare agendas and managing meeting logistics

- Help create and disseminate department communications related to administrative policies and procedures and events - Help manage core administrative team databases and contact lists and support system based transactions when possible, help ensure database and systems are updated in a timely way

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required 3+ years of related experience Additional Qualifications Master's Degree in a related field (management, public health, etc.) preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred Experience working effectively in a cross-cultural environment preferred Experience juggling multiple priorities, and using tact and discretion preferred Experience exercising diplomacy in communications and interpersonal relations;

Experience evaluating problems thoroughly, showing resourcefulness in identifying solutions, and displaying sound judgment; Excellent writing and editing skills preferred Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
