12+ month contract 

The Quality Metrology Technician, will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements by performing inspections of individual components, stampings, castings, and supplier parts. He/she will be required to learn and adhere to company policies, quality & metrology processes as well as safety requirements. An effective candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They need to be detail oriented and critical thinkers. He/she must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company. Candidates will also be required to utilizing various skill sets in a highly dynamic and diverse working environment. They must be able to work independently, but also be a strong contributor in small and large groups.
• Programming with PCDMIS & CALYPSO
• SIEMENS NX or 3D CAD experience to work with native files as well as STEP and IGES.
• Liaise with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Understand manufacturing processes for application in measurement study requirements.
• Apply measurement best practices for special investigations and given specifications.
• Fully understand datum scheme requirements and applications along with GD&T.
• Utilize metrology equipment to collect tactile and scan data and output detailed reports to communicate key findings.
• Supports design and development activities for appropriate CMM fixtures to expedite part setup, including multiple part setup
• Uses Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing knowledge to translate specification requirements into precision measurement equipment programs
• Works with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to facilitate Gauge R & R activity and measurement correlations
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GD&T application
• Experience in CALYPSO is a must
• Experience with withe light scanning systems is a plus.
• Must exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
• 6 years’ experience in creating CALYPSO
• Experience with any of the following software systems/tools: Keyence VR & VK Systems, CALYPSO, Unigraphics/Siemens NX
• Experience with/knowledge of the following support functions: Methods, Tooling and Quality Assurance in the medical device industry
• Strong problem-solving ability in resolving complex problems.
