The Role:

Moderna is seeking a Specialist for a position based at their Norwood, MA site. The individual in this role will be a highly organized, motivated, and a collaborative individual to coordinate and execute the move of the technical development labs between the Norwood sites. The successful candidate will possess a working understanding of the technical and operational aspects of laboratory activities and support in a biotech/pharma setting. The individual will proactively communicate and collaborate with team colleagues, as well as environmental health and safety, facilities, supply chain, digital, IT, and outside engineers to ensure uninterrupted and efficient laboratory operations. The successful candidate must have a B.S. with 2-5  years’ or M.S. with 0-2 years’ experience in laboratory support services.



Here’s What You’ll Do:


  • Work closely with laboratory and support staff to enable a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment including meeting 5S standards
  • Assist with the generation, organization, and actioning of moving equipment lists
  • Oversee and capital equipment purchases and tracking
  • Execute on realization of floor plan layouts
  • Enable lab members with clearing out and packing of old labs
  • Work with facilities to action move-related requirements
  • Assist in the build-out of shared Point of Use material stock rooms
  • Interface with Digital and IT teams to resolve any issues or needs escalated by the end user
  • Work with Agilent on coordinating preventative maintenance, calibrations, and work requests for equipment
  • Work with Logistics to ensure appropriate PPE supply across lab spaces
  • Document and present progress in cross-functional meetings
