It is rare for employees to remaining with the same company for 20 plus years any more according to Boston.com.  We are more flexible and mobile.  We moved away from the town/city in which we grew up.  Technology has impacted the workforce.  Techies want to be part of interesting projects, work with smart team members and learn new skills.
