Your ideal Day at Work

What would be your ideal job?  “On your absolute best day at work — the day you come home and think to yourself, I have the best job in the whole world — what did you do that day?”  Facebook’s most asked interview question is tough to answer but a brilliant way to find the perfect fit.  “People want to have an impact,” Goler said. “They want to know that what they’re working on matters. And they’re going to stay at a place where they feel like they have an impact, [where] they’re learning and growing and doing work they love.”  What is your perfect day at work?  What are you passionate about?  What’s your ideal day?  People are usually the most happy and most productive when they work in their ideal environment.  Companies have different personalities, so it’s important for them to hire people who are an ideal fit.

Some companies look for people who share the same values and may expect you to address that in your interview.  The Autumn Group’s values are Passion, Loyalty, Collaboration, and Integrity.  Read more about our core values here.  Review your potential new company’s mission statement to understand how it addresses its long-term goals. Let the interviewer know how the company’s mission reflects your values. You might say, “I want to work for a company that cares about the environment, and that’s why I’m so interested in this opportunity.”  All of us spend the bulk of our day at work, so it is important to make sure your work environment is right for you.  During your interview, take the time to describe your ideal environment so both sides can make an informed decision.
