Senior Data Analyst

Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for overall support of the NNI data strategy office including but not limited documentation, quality control, analytical support and development.

1. Responsible for quality control and standards development in NNI Data Office
2. Assess, prioritize and document functional requirements.
3. Deliver ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions

MAIN JOB TASKS:
Drive Data Governance & Data Enablement
• Quality control to support Commercial Analytics and reporting
• Develop understanding of key business questions to be answered in each project
• Leverage analytical skills to collect, clean, quality control, integrate and analyze data - including sales, marketing & cost data
• Ensure project documentation is maintained; all governance policies and procedures are followed. Support creation of new data governance policies.
• Develop and present recommendations to key stakeholders
• Be a trusted advisor for the analysis methodology
• Develop custom analysis with Tableau, Advanced Excel, SAS, R, PowerPoint, Access & SAP BO and IQVIA databases (Plantrak and LAAD); SQL
• Help build a center of excellence for creating analytically ready data sets, for use among analytics community.
• Ensure detailed data quality checks are performed on an ongoing basis to ensure analytical readiness
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements & Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases & provide guidance and support on the data set, identify areas requiring process improvements to standardize data governance.

Deliver ad-hoc analyses to support decision making
• Knowledge of industry data like LAAD, IQVIA data sets.
• Aware of persistency and adherence metrics, knowledge of analytics on de-identified patient level data.
• Ensure superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality support to the stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to look at feedback and development opportunities

COMMUNICATION & STAKEHOLDE INTERACTION:
Internal Stakeholders – NNI:
• The position requires frequent and active engagement with numerous internal stakeholders. Communication and stakeholder management skills are essential

External Stakeholders – vendors such as consulting firms and data providers
• The position requires moderate interaction with external stakeholders

INNOVATION & CHANGE:
This position demands high level of innovation, initiative and change management, as we are establishing a new capability. It is also important to continuously scan the market for better practices and tools

GEOGRAPHY:
This job is located in Plainsboro, NJ and remote, with working requirements based on US Timezones (EST).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
• Bachelors Degree (preferably within quantitative/management discipline) preferred

Experience:
• 5 years of experience working with data in the commercial domain & 3 years of data steward experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Experience managing diverse stakeholders to drive projects forward
• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations, collecting data and effectively synthesizing insights
• Solid project management and relationship building skills to overcome complex and multidimensional business challenges

Technical skills –
• Tableau/ Alteryx, Advanced Excel,
• Experience in SQL and complex Query
• Working level knowledge of SAS and Python
• Working level knowledge of IQVIA database
